My YOGA Journey & Training...

As well as several years experience of my own personal yoga practice, I am a certified Yoga Allience Hatha Yoga Teacher. My initial 200 hour training was taken over a one year period. I had and still have the privalage to learn and study with Swami Atma Gyanam Saraswati from The Yoga Tree in Norwich and have just completed my second year of yoga education with him, another one year mentorship with entitled Chakra Yoga.

This course involved practicing and working with the subtle body, building a direct connection to it by working with the major chakras and their energy as well as exploring the philosphy surrounding it.  This year long course also enabled me to learn and practice the ancient and rarley taught Kriya yoga, waking and raising the kundalini, the potential in consciousness. I am now undertaking studies for 2022 with Jason crandell , one of the leading global experts in the Yoga world well known for his skills and teaching specifically in anatomical precsion. 

Swami Atma Gyanam has 30 years of independant practice and study and has been the most wonderful guide & influence in my teaching journey.

Swami Atma teaches traditional Hatha Yoga, his teacher training combines and delivers his own years of personal experience in yoga philosphy,meditation & yoga nidra.

My classes

As well as physical postures my classes will often include a meditation or contemplation, pranayama (breathwork) and a yoga Nidra (yoga sleep) to finish.

My classes are open to all levels.  The invitation in my class is to turn up as your are and for a short time to drop the endless to-do list we all aquire in the busyness of life. Taking the time to become quieter in the mind, exploring the physical body and reconnecting to the deeper parts of being.

I draw on inspiration for my classes from the teachings that have been passed down to me, the ancient texts of yoga as well as my surroundings in nature,  most notibly living by the coast.

I take a holistic approach to the offerings I share with you and my hope is that these classes will assist you in the practice of bringing the busy mind into the present moment uniting all that we are in this life.
